Andrea Folts
Andrea Folts is currently an Arizona artist. Her work is found in private collections in Mexico and throughout the U.S. Over the years she has worked in different mediums and studied art and drawing an Edmonds and Everett Community Colleges in Washington State.
She and her husband lived in the Yucatan for several years and it was there that she taught herself to paint. While there she discovered through the expression of the Mayan art form an innocent and primitive, childlike attitude.
She discovered that art is not about perfection, but about taking risks and remaining positive. She began to experiment and allowed herself to have fun with her art; learning that many people were very excited about the intensity of color and the imagination she was displaying.
Andrea believes that art is about imagination and what you as the viewer like and what moves you. She is hopeful that her art will move you in some way and that you will enjoy the color and the imagination involved in creating each piece.
